Adrian was becoming impatient.
â€œWhy hasnâ€™t she rung?â€ he muttered.
He paced the floor. He tidied the magazine rack for the third time. He swept the kitchen floor again. He readjusted the flower arrangement.
The telephone rang.
â€œAt last!â€ he shouted. â€œHello, is that you dear?â€
â€œYes,â€ she said.
â€œSorry. I wonâ€™t marry you.â€
