Poem #9 Frozen Anger
Frozen Anger
It’s a cloudy day today.
Dull clouds
To numb my mind.Cold wind
To chill my heart.No sun
To warm my soul.My mind is ice.
Inspiration
(In my crying heart)
Suddenly stops short. My blood is still.
Warmness
(In my dying heart)
No longer throbs. My soul is void.
Consecration
(In my lying heart)
Is unjustifiable. It’s a cloudy day today.

Haiku #17 Snails
Snails sliding on paths
After heavy night showers.
Careful – don’t crunch them.

Poem #8 Colours in my head
Colours in my head
There are colours in my head,
Throbbing, bobbing,
On and off.
Flashing, crashing,
Through the dark.
Glaring, flaring,
In and out.
Setting alive
The barren
Wasteland
Of loneliness
In my mind
With a patchwork
Carpet of memories
Of love.
I see that pathway
Stretching unendingly
Before me.
Take my hand.
Hold it firmly.

Haiku #16 Orchids
Walking in the scrub
We stopped, stooped – amazed;
Orchids are in bloom.
