your words have really encouraged me to enculcate the habit of reading on daily basis. Its such a pity that Africans hardly read books.

Thank you Ileana,

Your words have encouraged me to keep writing this blog. In a very real way I am drawing on over 35 years of classroom experience and sharing this with my readers.

I was delighted when you said that you were quoting me in a staff presentation.

It has taken a wile for me to reply to your comments because I wanted to give you a link to an article I wrote some time ago which you might find both encouraging and inspiring. It's just that I couldn't find it here on my blog!

I finally found it today. Here is the link:

Be sure to also read the comments where I discuss various other educational considerations on this topic.

I hope you find this helpful.

All the best,

Trevor

Mr. Hampel,

I have quoted you in a presentation that I am making to the staff at my elementary school. It saddens me to see how little time we, as teachers, have to read to our students these days. With all of the testing mandated in each state, reading seems to be going by the wayside. I am hoping that your words along with my heartfelt attitude will inspire teachers to find the time to encourage reading in their classrooms.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Respectfully,

Ileana Diaz
