Short Fiction #20 The Job Applicant
The Job Applicant
Susan strolled casually to the desk.
“Can I help you?”
“Yes. I’d like to enquire about a job here.”
“Right,” said the receptionist. “Please take a seat. I’ll get the Personnel Officer. Your name?”
“Susan Heywood.”
Two minutes passed.
“Good morning Ms Heywood. How can I help you?”
“I want your job,” she replied simply.
